You see your price right away in Verasight Self-Serve. Creating an account is free, and you pay per survey. List rates per respondent start at these amounts and rise with survey length:

- Convenience: $1.50
- Targeted Demographics: $1.75
- Nationally Representative: $2.00
- Validated Voters: $2.50

## What sets your price

Your price depends on four settings:

| What sets the price | Notes |
|---|---|
| Sample type | One of the four [sample types](https://www.verasight.io/docs/run-your-study/choose-a-sample-type). |
| Sample size | The number of respondents you choose. Your total is the per-respondent rate times this number. |
| Survey length and question count | Question count, matrix items, and vignette length set the survey's pricing tier, within the [survey rules](https://www.verasight.io/docs/run-your-study/what-a-survey-can-include). |
| How common the selected group is | Applies to [Targeted Demographics](https://www.verasight.io/docs/run-your-study/choose-a-sample-type#targeted-demographics-selection) only. The tiers are more than 50 percent of the panel, 25 to 50 percent, and less than 25 percent. |

## Rate card

If Self-Serve and this table ever differ, the quote you see in Self-Serve is the price you pay. These are list rates per respondent, as of October 2026:

| Question units | Nationally Representative | Convenience | Validated Voters | Targeted Demographics, group is more than 50 percent of the panel | Targeted Demographics, 25 to 50 percent | Targeted Demographics, less than 25 percent |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Fewer than 10 | $2.00 | $1.50 | $2.50 | $1.75 | $2.50 | $3.00 |
| 10 to 19 | $2.50 | $1.75 | $3.00 | $2.00 | $3.00 | $3.50 |
| 20 to 29 | $3.00 | $2.25 | $3.50 | $2.50 | $3.50 | $4.00 |
| 30 to 39 | $3.50 | $2.50 | $4.00 | $2.75 | $4.00 | $4.50 |
| 40 to 49 | $4.00 | $3.00 | $4.50 | $3.25 | $4.50 | $5.00 |
| 50 to 65 | $4.50 | $3.25 | $5.00 | $3.50 | $5.00 | $5.50 |
| 66 to 80 | $5.00 | $3.75 | $5.50 | $4.00 | $5.50 | $6.00 |

Self-Serve converts your question counts and vignette length into question units and shows which price row applies. [Count your questions](https://www.verasight.io/docs/run-your-study/what-a-survey-can-include#count-your-questions) shows how each count converts to units.

In Self-Serve, each sample type card shows its starting price. The summary on the right updates the per-respondent rate and total cost as you go, and **View full rate card** shows the full price grid.

For example, take a Nationally Representative survey of 500 respondents in the 20 to 29 row. It costs 500 times $3.00, or $1,500, before any add-on or discount.

## Included at no extra charge

Our standard demographic [profile variables](https://www.verasight.io/docs/data-and-methods/profile-variables) are included at no extra charge. So are [survey weights](https://www.verasight.io/docs/data-and-methods/survey-weights), on surveys that include them.

## Voter file appends

Only Validated Voters surveys can include [voter file appends](https://www.verasight.io/docs/run-your-study/choose-a-sample-type#voter-file-appends). They add $0.75 per respondent (list rate) to your per-respondent price. The fee appears as its own line in your cost summary.

## What you pay for

You pay for the sample size you choose. [Extra responses](https://www.verasight.io/docs/run-your-study/fielding-and-sample-size#extra-responses) beyond it are on us.

Only [completed responses](https://www.verasight.io/docs/run-your-study/what-a-survey-can-include#completed-responses) count toward your sample size.

## Pay in Self-Serve

Payment is the last step, after your survey link, tracking parameters, redirect links and redirect tests are done. That way you do not pay before your setup is final. Until you pay, you can change your sample size and question counts to see the price, with no commitment.

1. Finish the Configuration, Redirects Setup, and Testing Survey steps in [Connect your survey](https://www.verasight.io/docs/run-your-study/connect-your-survey).
2. On the Payment & Launch step, check the survey summary and the checklist of completed steps. The summary lists the survey name, sample type, sample size, and question count.
3. If you have a discount code, enter it in the summary and click **Apply**. Each code can be used once.
4. Click **Pay** to open the checkout window. The button shows your total, for example Pay $2,500.00. You can pay with card, Link, Klarna, Cash App Pay, or bank transfer.
5. Once the payment goes through, the screen shows "Payment successfully completed. You are ready to launch your study."
6. Click **Begin Data Collection** to launch your survey to the Verasight panel. If you are not ready to launch yet, click **Launch Later** and come back when you are. For example, pay on Friday and launch on Monday morning.

If a setup step is still incomplete, the button reads **Ready to Begin** and lists the steps to finish.

Stripe emails a receipt after payment. If your office also needs an invoice marked paid, email research@verasight.io.

## Pay by purchase order or invoice

To pay by purchase order or invoice, email us before you launch. We invoice your institution separately and send you a discount code that covers the price.

Each discount code can be redeemed once. Launch the sample size and questions you described in your email. If you need to change them, email research@verasight.io before you launch.

1. Set up your study through the [Testing Survey step](https://www.verasight.io/docs/run-your-study/connect-your-survey#step-3-testing-survey) and note the total Self-Serve shows.
2. Email research@verasight.io with:
   - your study name
   - the total Self-Serve shows
   - your purchase order number, if your institution issues one
   - your billing contact
3. When you receive the discount code, enter it on the Payment & Launch step and click **Apply**. The total should show $0.
4. Click **Begin Data Collection** to launch.
