We hope everyone is having a great holiday season! We are excited to share some recent research from our clients and the Verasight team.

Verasight is a Primary Contributor to The Voter Poll by SSRS

Verasight was a primary data contributor to The Voter Poll by SSRS, providing significant portions of pre-election and Election Day survey data from verified registered voters in California, New Jersey, New York City, and Virginia. The poll was sponsored by ABC News, The Associated Press, CBS News, CNN, FOX News Media and NBC News.

Custom Sample Highlight - West Virginia Residents

The Institute for Policy Research & Public Affairs at West Virginia University and The West Virginia Office of Energy announced their partnership with Verasight to build a comprehensive panel of WV residents. While traditionally limited in their ability to understand the diversity of state attitudes, researchers and policymakers will be able to use this new panel to understand preferences across geographies and demographic groups within West Virginia.

Limits of Synthetic Data

Verasight continues to research whether large language models (LLMs) can replicate findings from real survey data. So far, the answer is no.  In one of our recent white papers, we find that neither additional information nor more recent LLMs necessarily improve the accuracy of the LLM results. For Trump approval, using the GPT-5 plus the most information was the least accurate.

Solving the “existential threat” of large language models to online survey research

A recent article published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences raises serious concerns about the future of online surveys given AI’s ability to mimic human respondents. Verasight has developed significant verification technology to guard against AI agents, which we outline here.

What Did Conference Attendees on Verasight’s National Survey?

Over the recent months, Verasight attended APSA and APHA, where each researcher was given the opportunity to add a free question to a nationally-representative Verasight survey. The toplines and crosstabs from these surveys are available here - APSA results, APHA results.
